So, it’s nothing really exciting, but kind of interesting.
Since we’re new to Texas weather, our first contact with ice rain was interesting. Actually, this first picture isn’t from that main storm; it was just raining and when I went to get the mail that afternoon I found some decent-sized frozen drips on the trees. I [...]

A holiday evening out

I heard of a life-size snow globe exhibit themed “The Polar Express” that I wanted to visit. However, when we got there is was really just the decor for Santa at the mall. Oh well. It was fun to be out as a family anyway, and stand in a snow globe with the snow. However, later [...]
Eliot’s dance performance

So, here’s a little bit from Eliot’s dance performance; and my first attempt at blogging a movie. Here goes nothing!
First, a couple pictures of her and her friends Faith (who just moved to California) and the side of Brinley’s head.
And, one of the three of them standing waiting for their turn.
Here’s the video of … [...]
Startin’ ‘em young!

So, as things have picked up for me, my daughter has found a new interest .
She LOVES to “do vinyl.” I think it’s pretty funny, but is something we can do together so it’s great. I cut a little extra specifically for her and she weeds it and uses masking and a squeegee. Nice.
Boo 2008

So, by mutual consent, Trevor took charge of Eliot’s Halloween costume this year. For weeks she was saying she wanted to be a butterfly. I had started talking to her about it early in September so a decision could be final without too much grief when “crunch time” came of making a costume. However, just [...]
Just thinking, and crying a little

I just wanted to share some of my favorite pumpkin pictures.
I love the excitement on Eliot’s face, and -despite my friend’s butt in the background (I REALLY need to learn to Photoshop)- I love the contentment on Morgen’s face. He wasn’t really walking yet, but he could lean on this pile of pumpkins and [...]
Happy Birthday!

These are over a week late, but I thought I’d finally get around to posting .
Eliot’s birthday was on Wednesday, and she had definitely been counting down the days. We put a star on the calendar so she’d have something marked to watch for and it worked pretty well. In the days previous she [...]
New Friends

So, we’ve been spending a lot of time with some new friends, Seth and Marsha, and their dogs Bo and Cooper. Eliot screams rediculously and tried to climb to the highest anything in order to get away from the dogs when they are first let inside, but a few nights ago, I turned from the [...]
Pucker up!

So the other night after family prayer when we compete to give kisses first, I noticed Eliot’s pucker was really just tight lips held together. So, this is after her first “Pucker Lesson”.
Who wouldn’t want to kiss that set of lips? I know, I’m partial. Trevor thought it was really funny how she pushed [...]
