We let our garden be taken over by pumpkins and all the jungle that comes with it. It was fun seeing blossoms turn into little pumpkins, which turned into bigger and bigger pumpkins and then turned from green to orange. We considered it a bounteous harvest. We got to take these…

Already a Winner

Tonight Montana had a fortune cookie tell her “You have a the makings of a winner”. Of course, I already thought that, but this week especially I’ve been thinking of my sweet, darling daughter and how much joy she brings to my life. Asher being Asher gets a lot of attention and we talk a [...]

As far as business trips go, my recent one to Texas had more delight in the mixture than usual. What a treat to be able to have to work in a city near where my sister lives and to visit her such an exciting time. I had known that her friends had been working on a [...]

During the summer I anticipated the approach of fall with trepedation this year. And it is my favorite time of year! But this year the excitement for the change in season, the beautiful fallscape, the new crispness to the air, the urge to feel fabric between my fingers, and the craving for delightful pumpkin recipes, [...]

An indirect cousin of mine lost her digital camera this weekend. And like me, she had [...]

I’ve wanted to build up my food storage and also save money on our grocery bills so last week I started coupon collecting and following some advice I got from a recent Relief Society enrichment. Eric still does the day-to-day shopping, but on my lunch breaks I head off to collect the stock-up type puchases. [...]
Wasn’t he with you?

So I spent the week away from work this past week and we all moved around the house working on things here and there and with all the goings on, Asher managed to find himself unattended for a few moments and took the opportunity to make some mischief.
You might wonder why our toilet is out [...]
Dog’s best friend

Since Macey has come to stay with us, Asher has become her fast friend around the table. They both know better, and most times we are proactive and lock Macey away for meal time. But there are a number of occasions where we’ve caught them both in the act. Macey will often stand at attention [...]

How do these kids keep growing up so fast?! It really is wonderful to have growing and developing kids and I’ve enjoyed each stage of development, hardly wishing for the next phase to come faster but relishing the delights of the present. Montana is off for a sleepover with one set of her loving grandparents [...]
